(1). Saw Cut Straight Edge It is one of the most basic edges, but have in mind though that a completely saw cut edge is razor sharp and very dangerous. Normally this type of edge is made for butted flat join purpose. thus when the stone honeycomb panels are butted together, there will be no seam or with a very small visible seam between them.
(2). Miter Cut Edge If you wish to make a mitered corner, you should make miter cut edges first. It would be used for wrapping corners for buildings or countertops etc. Basically it is cut off from back side of the stone panel from the aluminum honeycomb with a bridge saw machine cut at a 45 degree. But Sometimes the miter cut edge is cut off from front side of the stone panel from the stone surface. This type of edges are also very sharp and easy to chip. So they should be protected well in the process.
(3). Laminated Edge Laminated edge is one specially kind of edge profiles, which involes glueing stone underneath the edge of stone panel to give it the appearance of being thicker, and to conceal the aluminum honeycomb behind it, which makes Stone Honeycomb Panels suitable for making Lightweight vanity tops, kitchen tops, table tops for Boat Yacht, Subway, Train, Aircraft etc. You might notice, for example, that restaurant tables will use laminated edges because it keeps the table light enough to move easily while still providing the look of a thick stone.
(4). Mitered Edge A mitered edge creats a seamless edge between the top of the countertop and a second piece of stone to create a specialty edge. The mitered seam allows the pattern to wrap from the horizontal surface to the vertical surface. The Stone Honeycomb Panel material must be expertly cut at a 45 degree angle and perfectly mounted for the pattern of the stone to remain consistent. It is also extensively used for making Lightweight vanity tops, kitchen tops, table tops for Boat Yacht, Subway, Train, Aircraft etc. (5). Square Laminated Corner Edge It is the same concept as the above (3). Laminated Edge, the only difference is that the return piece underneath of the stone panel is much bigger. So we should use Aluminum angle pieces to reinforce the corner at back side to prevent it from breaking or dropping. Basically this type of corner edges are extensively used for wrapping corners for big buildings.
